How to install the Chrome extension

Full steps are also inside the ZIP as INSTALL.txt — open that file after unzipping.

Download ScreenAnswer-Chrome-v1.2.zip
Unzip it (Windows: right‑click → Extract All · Mac: double‑click). You should get a folder named ScreenAnswer-Chrome
Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
Turn on Developer mode (top‑right switch)
Click Load unpacked
Select the ScreenAnswer-Chrome folder (the one that contains manifest.json — not the .zip file itself)
Optional: pin ScreenAnswer from the puzzle icon in the toolbar
Log in with your free portal account at screenanswer.cc/portal (promo), or paste a paid HA1 Chrome key later
Add a free Groq API key (gsk_…) from console.groq.com/keys → Save in the popup
Use: highlight a question → hold Ctrl+Shift → release both keys (Mac: ⌘+Shift)

Tips: Keep the ScreenAnswer-Chrome folder on your computer after install (don’t delete it). If Chrome says manifest missing, you picked the wrong folder — open the folder that contains manifest.json.

Customer production build (not source code). Chrome Web Store install is optional later.

Promo: free through Sep 22, 2026 with a normal portal register. After promo (or Chrome-only forever): $20 lifetime keys after payment.
