You pay for a ScreenAnswer license. AI uses your free Groq API key. You don’t need paid OpenAI API billing for the default path. Free tiers can rate-limit occasionally.

An in-app mode that listens on your laptop microphone, shows a live transcript bar on top of your screen while you listen, then can turn the transcript into study notes with Groq Whisper Large V3 Turbo (your gsk_ key). Allow microphone access in Windows. Free Groq audio limits apply.

Interview preparation and practice. Upload a resume or notes, then rehearse spoken answers with a transcript bar + glass HUD. Use it for mock interviews and preparation. For a real interview, follow the employer’s rules on AI assistance and recording.

Yes — when you use those modes, short audio chunks go to Groq for transcription using your API key. ScreenAnswer does not store your lecture or practice audio on our servers. Follow school / workplace recording policies.

Yes. AI can be incomplete or incorrect. Confidence scores help; verify anything important.

You are responsible for following your school, workplace, and exam policies. ScreenAnswer is positioned for study and productivity uses such as explaining notes, reviewing PDFs, practicing with self-created questions, interview prep, and lecture note-taking.

Use tray → Exit, or Task Manager → end ScreenAnswer, then open it again.
